A List of English Bible Translations

There are three general methods for translating:
  1. Formal Equivalence (word-for-word)
  2. Dynamic equivalence (thought-for-thought)
  3. Paraphrase
However, there's really no such thing as a literal "word-for-word" translation. A literal word-for-word translation would make no sense. See A Literal Translation of Matthew 2:1
